Service: Vacant Home Staging
Rooms: Living room, Primary bedroom, Reading corner
Belcher Drive is a modest Columbus house with good bones: original-looking oak strip floors, wood-trimmed windows and strong afternoon sun that throws blind shadows across white walls. Rather than fight its age, this home staging project leaned into it with a slightly moodier, collected palette.
In the living room, a slipcovered olive sofa sits on a flat-woven ivory rug with a fluted black drum coffee table and a pair of woven rush lounge chairs in warm wood. Charcoal landscape prints and a sculptural black lamp on a burl side table give the room weight without clutter. A low walnut bookcase under a large black-and-white print makes a quiet vignette on the side wall, and the sunlight does the rest.
In a smaller house, furniture scale is everything. We chose a sofa that fits the wall without crowding the window, open-frame chairs that let the floor show through, and a round coffee table so paths stay clear. The primary bedroom got a channel-tufted headboard, two turned-wood lamps, textured ivory bedding and a shaggy throw, which is the kind of softness buyers notice immediately in listing photos.
