Bayboro Drive is a classic New Albany two-story: a great room that rises to a balcony landing, a tall brick chimney running straight up the middle, honey oak trim, and windows on almost every wall. Our job with this round of home staging in New Albany was to make those volumes feel lived-in rather than cavernous.
In the great room we kept the palette pale: slipcovered white seating, oatmeal swivel chairs and a washed rug, with one olive tree to soften the corner. The brick does the talking. In the sage-green dining room, a chunky oak table and black spindle chairs pick up the existing chair rail and arch without fighting the paint color.
The front living room got rattan chairs, a pedestal table and a long white sofa, so the room reads as a second place to sit rather than a hallway to the stairs. Upstairs, the primary bedroom stays calm in blue and sand under the vaulted ceiling. A pink-and-green bedroom became a child's room with a floral quilt and a small reading corner, and a spare room turned into a home office. Buyers with kids and hybrid jobs want to see exactly those two rooms answered.
