Ashmoore Court has the features Powell buyers ask for: a vaulted living room with clerestory windows onto the trees, a black marble fireplace in a crisp white mantel, lit glass shelving beside it, and a kitchen and breakfast bar that open straight onto the main room. Our home staging here was about warming all that greige without hiding the view.
We built the palette from the stone. Oat bouclé swivel chairs and a slipcovered sofa, rust and blush pillows, a weathered oak coffee table and a large abstract canvas in the same clay tones. Everything sits low so the eye travels up to the windows. The dining room got a solid wood table with upholstered chairs under the existing rattan drum pendant, plus a scalloped mirror to bounce light back in.
Open plans need zones. Wide shots of this house show the sofa facing the fireplace, the chairs turning toward the kitchen, and the breakfast bar with its own stools, so a buyer scrolling photos understands where people actually sit. The primary suite is huge; we gave it a king bed, a sitting pair by the window and a ladder with a throw so the room reads as a retreat rather than an empty rectangle.
