In this beautiful home in New Albany, we staged the entry, living room, dining room, eat in kitchen, family room, primary suite, kids room, and the office—our biggest job yet! Although this project was more labor intensive than usual, I am so proud of how it turned out. And apparently I’m not the only one because the house went into contract within only 3 days of being listed!
When I was given the awesome opportunity to transform this log cabin I was STOKED. First the homeowner removed nearly everything—all the bears—and then I filled the space with contrasting and warm colors, lots and lots of texture like leather, furs, wool, and subtle plaid patterns throughout. Because log cabins make me think of the outdoors, I added nature inspired art and subtle decor, even including a few bears.
The homeowners voiced their concern that I was going to “take the cabin out of the cabin”, but I’m beyond pleased that they were absolutely thrilled with my styling when it was all revealed!
Ahhh…finally. My first staging since venturing out my own. After all the planning, waiting, and of course, shopping, it all came together. The main living space didn’t have an abundant amount of natural lighting and had newer, greyish paint and flooring, so I opted for lighter colors to break up the grey and added warmth with lighter shades of greens and beiges.. I aimed to create a welcoming and cozy vibe. This house had sat on the market for a long time before we came along—110 days to be exact. But then only 12 days after our install she was in contract!
